I normally would not consider Harden trades.....but dang, if the nets want to send us four starters under 27, two of them averaging more than 18 a game, another nearly a double double as a center at 22 years old......It’s the first package I have seen for Harden where I pull the trigger. https://www.google.com/amp/s/clutch...den-trade-discussed-between-nets-rockets/amp/
None of those guys have star potential. We better be getting 4 first rounders and 4 pick swaps and 8 second rounders.
that trade is 4 quarters for a dollar, and I like Caris Levert... that same group couldn’t even be .500 in the East not sure what’s so exciting about that trade...aside from Levert who could be a borderline All-Star caliber player in the Jrue Holiday range at best IMO, the rest are irrelevant
Realistically we will be going into rebuilding within a year or two. You can't rebuild without a lot of picks. We don't have a lot of picks. We need picks. We want the worst players possible but give us picks.
This isn't a fair trade. Harden is worth 10x that amount. They are all overpaid, injury prone or about about to be over paid and injury prone. We cannot trade Harden. I don't care if he hates it here. He has 2 years left before his player option.
Or here is a variant where we include Covington and get back the same package plus four first round picks. https://www.nbaanalysis.net/2020/11/14/the-best-trade-nets-could-offer-rockets-for-james-harden/
If the Rockets pull the trigger on a similar trade, Stone and Tilman need to follow Billy King and Prochorov on their journey out of the league.
At first it sounds really bad but it’s actually not bad. Pretty solid package actually but it doesn’t move the needle. LaVert and especially Allen are still young but I don’t think their ceiling is that high. Dinwiddie can’t shoot but he’s a rock solid pg. He’s not much use to us without a superstar though. We can do better. If anything it would’ve been cool to work something out and do Harden a solid. Harden on the Nets gives him a chance at a ring since he won’t have to be the main option. Too bad Brooklyn doesn’t have a top 5 pick for this draft they could offer along with a combo of those players. Their future picks won’t be any good at least not for the next few years.
These are bull **** rumors man. Morey really is trying to rock this boat I think. Wednesday cannot get here soon enough, let's do whatever trade we need to do and move on. No reason to trade Harden until next offseason at the earliest. I think he'll be very happy to sign an extension when the time comes.
Dinwiddie and Levert are beginning their primes, but the only one who could maybe become borderline All-Star caliber is Levert who has been injured every year Prince and Allen are irrelevant to me, and Dinwiddie is meh...he’s a good starter or excellent bench guard this package is weak for Harden...can’t believe anyone would be excited to accept it
A package to Boston starting with Tatum or a package to Miami starting with Bam and Herro is the only thing I'd even consider if Harden demanded a trade.
An absurd trade idea, but more to the point, why would we want to move James? Russ is the cat that needs a new address.
