I'm going to just say that Lebron isn't even the closer for his own team. Kyrie is. Lebron just passes the ball to Kyrie when it's crunch time and gets out of the way while Irving isos. That has to knock off notches on whatever metric we are judging "best player."

And in the finals, he struggled to get going until the Warrior's lost their defensive presence with Bogut's injury mostly but also Draymond's suspension and Iguodala's injury in games 5,6, and 7. Prior to that, the Cavs were getting smashed and he was less than impressive. Harden has a much wider scoring arsenal that isn't so effected by the other team closing off the interior. He can find other ways to score.
