Being a huge fan of Deep Purple/Rainbow, I was really excited to see this news. Joe Lynn Turner has lost absolutely none of his vocal range through the years. Street of Dreams, Jealous Lover, I Surrender, & Stone Cold are pure classics that I jam to pretty much every day.

I'm really not shocked considering the dubious music tastes of the majority of this board, but I figured there would be at least a few people who can appreciate real musicianship.

If it was some crap band like Stone Temple Pilots reforming this thread would have like 20 replies already.

You start music thread simply to get a rise out of people.

Nickleback is a crap band; Puddle of Mudd is a crap band; Creed is a crap band.

STP is not a crap band. The DeLeo Bros. are serious musicians. Really great guitars in hard rock and jangle-pop styles and some of the best bass lines ever that bounce through all the changes and transitions in the songs.

As far as Over the Rainbow is concerned, pretty cool to have a 2nd generation Blackmore involved. Wasn't Ronnie James Dio the original singer back in the day?

    Word up Yo.

Dio was in a few places. I agree on the STP comments as well.

Aren't you the one who likes Creed and Nickelback?

If so, I have a new-found, yet very confused respect for you re: Deep Purple and Rainbow, two excellent and highly influential bands.
