That's hilarious, I'm just having BBQ with my friends and want to try something different. And as you already pointed out, these are the best burgers ever so it doesn't hurt to try. If its good I'll be the Master Chef of my friends and rub it in their face.
Let me know how yours turn out. I really found the recipe online. I just added the BW3's sauce because I think that will make it taste much better. I'm gonna throw some of the pecan wood in there regardless. Should make even a burger taste a little better.
Damn do you have to be in a secret society to some PECAN woodchips? I check Walmart, Randalls and Krogers. None of them have it! I ended up getting Tennesse Oak or some crap like that.
ROckets03 thanks again for the recipe. I don't care where you found it but those hamburgers were damn good!!
Same here. First time I have ever used this recipe and the burgers absolutely KICKED ASS! I found the recipe on AOL. But I added the garlic, greenpeppers and BW3's sauce myself. Even my brother loved them. I showed his punk ass.
Well, I'm not an avid griller (yet, at least), and I could probably think of a thousand questions. But one I do have is regarding the grilling of a vegetable that the French feed to their cattle, called corn. How is good, grilled corn? Is it worth trying? Does anyone know a way (grilling or not) to get corn any way close to the roasted corn at, say, the Rodeo??? THAT'S great stuff. Oh, and it seems as if every time I get ground chuck or beef from any store, it tastes the bland same. (It actually makes me sick sometimes; I've tried grilling outdoors, grilling on the Heavyweight grill, pan frying, broiling in the oven.....it still has that nasty bite to it). Granted all I put in my meat is, well, nothing xcept s & p on top. What little spices or sauces enhance ordinary meat???
Usually I dont grill sissy stuff like vegetables on my grill. But corn is damn good. I just grill them in the beginning, when the flames are still sort of high. That way the kernels are actually able to pop. Then take some lime, dip it in chilli powder and squeeze rub it on the corn. YUMMY! What kind of grill do you have? I use charcoal of course, but even gas is not that bad. Better then nothing. Try out the burger recipe I posted and you will love it! If you want I can post the exact stuff to use.
Yeah, this all sounds great! I don't think I can get my hands on Buffalo Wild's sauce though. I'll have to look. I have been looking into getting a new "grill", but I got an Old Smokey that my brother won somehow and then we bought a tiny, yet crappy picnic-style grill. Actually, it heats up quickly and steaks are pretty good, but I'm just not satisfied. I'll go have to look for the Smokey, since I haven't seen it in about 3 years! That corn idea sounds great! I'll have to try it all this week. I do like a nice steak marinated in either Italian dressing, Dale's or Moore's steak sauce (mainly a Worchestire/soy sauce mixture that you probably can't find in Texas), or Kraft Catalina (that's right). Oh, and what's a good way to coat chicken on, say, shish kabobs so that they will refrain from becomming dry, but prevent them from sticking to the grill? (Olive oil ain't working for me). Thanks!
