The Rightwing slant that redirected Kaepernick's protest was a masterful piece manipulation. It completely overshadowed his original message to the point that even his supporters were having to defend against the unpatriotic argument.

I didn’t see the officers beat those people , just restrain them .

I agree it’s not ideal , or even good .

but on the spectrum of things , if they were shortly released then it’s not so bad , at least IMO .

Like how a black cnn reporter was arrested the other day even when he showed them his press credentials and was on live tv. Another reporter who was a block away who happened not to be black was not arrested weHen he was stopped by police. But hey no harm no foul right?

 

I mean I’m in a tough position to comment in that I’m white , like if that happened to me and I was the store owner ... I would be pissed and prolly scared when they pointed the gun ... that would be the biggest complaint ... and like I’ve said it’s not good . But it it’s probably well below average .

granted the reason my reaction would be muddled is because I’d be fairly certain that nothing more would come of it and I might even get an apology . I can guess that many black people (justifiably so) feel different.

it’s still part of a needed culture overhaul (on the part of the police) . But it’s an issue that should be fixed if other , more deeper issues are fixed .

but I think it’s closer to a C- or D than an F
