Complete waste of a pick and a pick and what will become a valuable expiring deal just so Tilman can save a little money.

He's awful. The fewer minutes he gets, the better.

Something about him infuriates me, too. He acts like he thinks he is much better than he is.

I read an article a few weeks back that said he's pretty much hurt all of the time now, from one poorly-healed injury or another. It may just be that he's lost too many steps, and can't adjust his game enough to compensate. Happens to everyone, if they stick around long enough.

Let's be honest though: his greatest feature was saving the Rockets 3.8 million in salary this year, and getting a large contract for next year out of the building. Everything beyond that was going to be gravy. Maybe he can teach the Rockets some tricks about surviving the Finals?

At this point, I would take back Corey Brewer instead of this guy.

James Ennis would be more useful. That shows how bad he is.

Morey did what he had to do. I just wish we'd gotten a productive player out of the deal. Oh, well. It is what it is. As long as he isn't given minutes over another, more productive player in the playoffs, I'll be fine with the guy. In other words, I'm with @Will. MDA needs to keep Shumpert glued to the bench, except in garbage time. We're deep enough without him.

I'd take him for a few minutes over Gerald Green's garbage defense. You guys still don't realize that shortening the rotation to 8 in the Playoffs doesn't work. MDA keeps doing it, but it hasn't worked in his long career yet.

Shumpert is alright. Adds defence to the team. He has shot the ball pretty well the past few games, but i guess some fans expect him to average 20ppg.....he has shot 40 percent or better in 7 of the past 10 games

Don't know if this is true, but it makes sense. His footwork looks noticeably more impaired than when he arrived. His legs and back look tight, and his balance is off. He can't turn fast enough to contest a baseline drive. He just looks like an old man out there.

As to the confusion ... that's on him. Honestly, that's what bothers me most. Harden and others can put up the points, but you can't have a switching defense where one guy forgets to cover the big cutting to the basket.

His defense is much better than Gerald Greens, which says more about Green than him. He took 2 more stupid jumpers today, he hasn't done that in a while so I was hoping he had learned his lesson.

I'm fine with him as the 9th man in the rotation if we want to keep our guys fresh.

Yea I hope he is not in the playoff rotation. I don't know how many guys MDA will use in the playoffs, but here is my rankings:

    Harden
    Paul
    Capela
    Gordon
    Tucker
    House
    Faried
    Green
    Rivers
    Nene
    Clark
    Shump
    Chio

    Shumpert is dung.

All that's left is for Holic to proclaim he has DPOY potential.

He has that grittyness on defense that'll be useful. Who cares about the pick, we can buy late first round pick.

Rockets spent all their money (to buy draft picks), right @heypartner ?

Yep, we are largely out of "Cash Considerations' money. Spent it on unloading Onuaku, MCW and Carmelo, to avoid Tax.
    • $2,044,951 to Dallas Mavericks ($500,000 conditional, Chinanu Onuaku),
    • $1,065,696 to Chicago Bulls (Michael Carter-Williams),
    • $1,566,570 to the Chicago Bulls (Carmelo Anthony) —
    • $565,783 remaining

I consider Chiozza and Frazier as the "2nd Round picks" that we bought.
