LOL! Ok whatever. Do you have a website or a bbs forum for me to go over and trash it? Let me know if you do.

I take it that was meant for me, Buck. I don't have a problem admitting that I own Celine Dion CDs as despite her antics, I feel that she has one of the best singing voices ever. However, I haven't bought a recent CD of hers since the supposed greatest hits one that had that duet with R Kelly. And I think she has released at least 2, maybe 3 albums since then. However, since the resale value of CDs suck ass so much, there is no point of me getting rid of those CDs, so they sit there on the shelf.:p

And although my post was in jest (hence the smilie), has George done anything in the last couple of years like another '80s music icon, the Cure or is he like the Culture Club - still resting on his laurels from 20 years ago? If it is the latter, I think it is funny that he would even go to the trouble of having a website, let alone shutting it down.

By this point, if you DON'T have a website (no matter who you are), you are behind the times.

Well agree but why have one if you are not releasing albums and don't plan on doing so?

As a shrine to your past glory.

There are still fans out there that don't care if he's done anything new... They want a repository of past work, plus an update on his life and what he's up to (charity work, outside-music endeavors, etc.)

He still does record/release music. His new album 'Patience' came out about 5 weeks ago in the US. And he had another album prior to that like 2--3 years back.

He just doesn't get the mainstream publicity anymore, but he definitely does put out new music.

George Michael himself said he doesn't need the money anymore. His website was for many reason and one of those was that he would sometime release a song(only over the internet) that people have to paid to download over teh internet and that money would go to charities.
