The Switch will include the dock. http://letsplayvideogames.com/2016/10/report-no-nintendo-switch-handheld-only-package-at-launch/
didn't want to start a new thread...but honest to god...why is it near impossible to find a 3ds xl right now? is nintendo gonna phase it out?
I could definitely see them phasing out the "old" 3DS XL, but not the New 3DS XL. It's still a very popular console and it just had a major title come out with Pokemon Sun/Moon. I think the 3DS was just very popular this holiday and retailers haven't restocked yet.
I see March 2017 release... with Nintendo, anyone know about how far in advance we'll see preorders for the switch at the Nintendo store, or amazon or gamestop? Or will this not be super limited to start with?
how long do you guys think? give it a week or two? looks like i could maybe go refurbished route...looks like nintendo shop online does those
was able to scoop up a 3ds xl from gamestop. who's got one? how do you add friends on this thing? also, is it safe to swap out game cartridges without turning the device off?
1. Ridiculous "friend code" system. You have to send a friend your long code thingy so they can add you, then they have to give you their code to add them back (no sending a request by user name and then accepting it, because REASONS). 2. As long as you're not in a game when you take the cartridge out you're good. Also, get Monster Hunter Generations, because MONSTER HUNTER!!! Definitely on my short short short list of best game series ever.
I hear the official reveal is tonight, I believe 10pm CST. Price has recently been speculated to be $250, based on various leaks. Seems like a fantastic price point... both cheaper and has a much better and more understandable hook/gimmick than the WiiU did. Hopefully those price speculations are accurate, because if it launches at that price then I'm just feeling really good about this system. Don't consider myself a Nintendo fanboy at all, but I'd love the hybrid concept to succeed just so I don't need to play top Nintendo-exclusive titles on handhelds anymore (the Switch will probably stay docked 99% for me).
March 3, 2017 release. Price - $299.99 No region locking. Charging for online play in the fall. Looks like they're upgrading their online service.
If you live in NYC you can go to Nintendo Store tomorrow and get in the "limited preorder" preorder. I have a feeling one isn't there by now you are **** out of luck.
Zelda on launch date changes everything. Or maybe that trailer changes everything I don't know anymore that was an amazing trailer.
