Bill Walton called this a “perfect game” at the time. Just a massive statement for the Rockets at that time as a 6th seed. History and high jinks ensued, but to me this is the game where they showed the world exactly who they were. I watched it on the tiniest TV in the world in my girlfriend’s (currently my wife) room in her apartment at Baylor. Talked my **** the next day to Dallas friends who, to that point, had never seen real basketball before. Enjoy….
James Donaldson was such a ****ing goon. I remember him from the Mavs, totally forgot he ended his career on the Jazz.
still remember horry at the ft line gushing so much confidence he twirled his fingers after the 1st make just to F w/ the jazzhole players standing on the lane line lol
The game after Mad Max quit the team. As as refresher, the first 15 games of a Finals run was with starting Pete Chilcutt. Finding ways to win Horry / Elie forwards starting lineup was undefeated in playoffs, 6-0. Rockets never did it again. (Chucky Brown started every single game following year)
