I was wondering if any of you guys have any recommendations as to what apartments are the best in austin.

I lived on Riverside last year, which was ok, but something a little better would be nice.

Price range: up to $550 each
    Furnished 2-2, close to campus

    thanks for the help.

I think Rio Nueces apartments are pretty good. They've dropped their rates to about 490 per month for a 1 bedroom, and pay water and trash. its at 26th and inbetween rio grande and nueces. The company that owns them is Marquis management.

I go to UT and am living at the corner of MLK and Rio Grande (close to Taco C)... me and my roomie are going to pay $425 a piece for a 2-2 and a balcony with an awesome view of downtown Austin. Its on West Campus, and fairly cheap and extremely close to campus and downtown.

naw it is not furnished, it is called the Zermatt Apartments. You also get 2 reserved spots to park your vehicle underneath the complex which is also badass for the crappy parking close to campus. Coming on MLK from 35 just turn right on Rio Grande and it is immediately on your right. Also there is only 3 stories with 4 apts. on each floor. Small and cheap for W. Campus.

I'm scraping the absolute sludge of my memory trying to remember where I know those apartments from.

I think I woke up in an ice-filled bathtub there once, with a fresh, suspicious-looking and poorly-stitched scar along the side of my abdomen/chest, thirsty and hankering for some beef jerky.

Lol, it's not that... I saw a name in there, and it's not a name a Pakistani or Indian would have.
