Trump not realizing these are actual warships that are for killing people, calls the Ayatollah to see if he wants to play a quick game of Battleship.

The way the Republicans talk about Iran is a lot like the way Republicans talk about abortion. They are totally against it, they draw a line in the sand and will do anything to stop it, but they are unwilling to talk about or take responsibility for aftermath of that line in the sand.

"You break it, you buy it" would seem to apply.

If you want me on board, I'm more interested in how you're going to fix Iran once you smash it to bits. Breaking s**t is the easy side of the equation. Going back home and hoping for a liberal democracy to spontaneously coalesce out of the ether doesn't cut it for me. Right now, they sound like teens with a baseball bat and a car looking for mailboxes.

Our foreign policy is very much who cares about the long term. The electorate sure doesn’t.
