Funny article, mention of Luis Scola. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/...ade-Miami-Heat-Big-Three-Dennis-Rodman-110810 -Heat may be better off trading Bosh Is Bosh a homeless man’s Dirk Nowitzki, a perimeter big man who put up inflated scoring and rebounding numbers because when visiting NBA players cross the Canadian border they put far more effort into acquiring condoms, loonies and a strip-club champagne room than their on-court assignments? On the NBA circuit, Toronto is White Vegas, where jungle fever is celebrated by local strippers and escorts 41 times a year. Toronto is a great city to put up numbers and build a rep. Miami, post-The Decision, is the perfect place to get exposed. OK, I’m not an NBA trade expert. I don’t fully grasp how you get the contracts to match up and the value of “expiring” contracts. I’m just going to suggest the kind of players who could make James and Wade as lethal as Jordan and Pippen. Cleveland’s Anderson Varejao and Houston’s Luis Scola should be at the top of Riley’s wish list. Varejao is ideal. He’s high energy. He’s 6-10. He’s played with LeBron. Scola is off to a ridiculous start in Houston, putting up 22 and 12 through six games. Scola (and Varejao) makes half as much money as Bosh. Scola and Jared Jeffries, a Houston sub and good passer, could make a huge impact in Miami. (Yes, I think Jeffries, in the right situation, can be an effective role player!) More in the link

i like how many people can analyze A LOT by just 8 games. it's really amazing. bosh will have the toughest time adjusting and we should give him at least a few months before analyzing if it will be a good fit or not. it's like, is lebron going to shoot 45% as a career low based on 8 games?
Bosh will never be a good fit in Miami. His style of play does nothing for Lebron and Wade. There's absolutely no good reason for them to pass the ball to Bosh for a jumpshot when they themselves can create a better shot or get a 3 pointer out of it. A banger PF like Blake Grifin would be killin' it with Wade & Lebron.
It's not really because he's doing bad, but because he's having to do something different than he's ever had to do in the NBA. In Toronto, he was typically run in a pick-and-roll fashion; in Miami, they want/need him to be a post presence, something he's just not very good at. Perhaps he can get better at it as the season goes on, but post play is not something you just develop on the fly, I think. Maybe he needs some Hakeem sessions?
He has spent time with Hakeem and Dwight. Looks like Dwight benefitted from Dream this season and is looking beastly. Bosh, on the other hand, must have been dozing in class.
If they really want to make a trade, it has to be between Wade and LeBron. Consider what Wade has done for the city, it will be LeBron. Anyone not blind can see these 2 play pretty much the same style. Both ain't very good without the ball. Trade one for a good PG and a defensive bigman, and they are all set.
It's actually the trade that makes the most sense that everybody is afraid to bring up. Miami can trade Lebron for practically any player in the NBA. In a sense; Lebron and Wade are redundant. The Heat don't need two of them, they need either a an elite PG or a an elite Center. Trading Bosh would net you a Carlos Boozer...whatever. Trading Lebron, you can get a primo player. You trade Lebron for CP3 and BAM, they'll be killing it. You trade Lebron for Dwight and BAM, they're on a 20 win streak.
trade bosh for billups and nene. miami get their pg and a proper bigman instead of rupaul. denver appeases melo by getting him a no.2 who won't take the ball away from him.
This season will answer that question. I think the current Heat will continue to get trained by great PG's and good PF's. But so far, they've lost 3 games to areguably the best 3 point guards in the NBA: Rajon Rondo, PG CP3, PG Deron Williams, PG they've also been beasted by: Emeka Okafur, PF - 26 pts* Paul Milsap, PF - 46 pts* * just guessing number from memory too lazy to look up.
What the Heat need the most: 1. A PG that can stop penetration and hit spot up, uncontested 3s. 2. A low-post threat on offense. I think Bosh can develop into a better low-post scorer if he has the will to do it. He must realize that the mid-range belongs to the Big Two and he has to find another place on offense. If Bosh cannot do this, he will have a lot more trouble finding his place on the team. He also needs to hit the That all said, the talk after only 8 games of trading Bosh is silly nonsense. They have a long time to figure it out and probably will.
A few weeks ago it was just 1 game after they lost to the Celtics. Bosh's skillset/toughness makes him the wrong player to be playing with Lebron and Wade. The Heat are going nowhere with Lebron and Wade on the perimeter and Bosh anchoring the paint.
Can you imagine how absolutely livid Bosh would be if he ended up getting traded in the same season he, LeBron, and Wade decided to play together?? All the posturing, effort, and planning on their part to get together would be down the drain. Something tells me LeBron and Wade wouldn't really give two sh!ts either. Lols.
