Agreed. No amount of coaching will make Yao much better as a player; he's what he is, that would be the first Yao Ming, not the second coming of anyone else. On the other hand, I truly think the one person with the most effect on Yao's game has been Deke, and his influence on Yao's improved defense has shown the last couple of seasons. I also think Yao is more skilled than Ewing ever was, but he's too big to do some of the things Ewing did as a young player. And please stop dissing Ewing, he ain't no Dream (nor was the Admiral) but he's a HOF and one of the top 50, something Yao can aspire to.
