I liked how he came in and DGAF and just got fouled on threes like 3 times in a row lol. How about a 2-way contract for him and if we need some instant 3-pointers off the bench, bring him in and, boom. His college 3-point % was pretty damn good... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fletcher_Magee
We’re gonna need 10 2-way spots for our team. Hudgins, Mayer, Hinton, Magee, etc. And DEN already stole Huff.
Still two open roster spots and one two-way spot. 1. Ja.Green 2. Smith 3. Thompson 4. VanVleet 5. Whitmore 6. Sengun 7. Porter Jr. 8. Eason 9. Brooks 10. Tate 11. Je.Green 12. Landale 13. Holiday 14. — 15. — 1. Hudgins(2W) 2. Days(2W) 3. —
McGee - 26 Hudgins - 24 Hinton - 24 Days - 23 Mayer - 23 Feels like we're not doing this end of bench / 2-way player thing right if these are the guys... aren't we supposed to be looking for young high upside guys?
I looked up Magee's college numbers. He went to Wofford I think, small school. His 3pt% is great but he'd sometimes shoot 0-12 on threes. He could make 8-14 3 pointers or 0-12. It seems like he was encouraged to just shoot. Now, if he could shoot 40% in the NBA (he shot around that in college) then there's probably a place on someone's NBA roster as a gunner off the bench. I don't know it that's us, though.
I liked Hinton as well. But for those end of bench spots, I wouldn't be looking for the best overall player, but for a specialized skill you might want to just throw in there in special situations.
