This thread specifically... Kenny can't even admit the Rockets are GOOD.

Big Foot is at my front porch.

Kenny's job is not to be a Rockets commentator. His job is to be an NBA commentator. He has openly admitted to being a Rockets fan so he isn't trying to make the Rockets look bad. What he is saying is Harden does have to have an Hakeem like performance to beat the Warriors. The Role players also have to seriously step up. If we play the Warriors in the playoffs, Harden can not just have a 20 pt performance. The man needs to shine like the mvp he is and the role players have to be Clutch. When the Rockets won the Championship, on paper we really had no reason to be there except for one reason itself and that was Hakeem. We weren't stacked with allstars like the Suns. We had Hakeem and the best Damn Role players. Hakeem stepped up every night consistently. We need Beard and Paul to both consistenlty have flawless games and a couple of our role players step up. I don't think the guy said anything wrong.

I didn't "quote" Kenny saying the part you bolded. FAIL

Keep it real... and both you and Kenny might have better takes.

your accusations wouldn't hold up in court.

    Kenny never dissed the Rockets.

    Case Closed.

Harden didn't have a Hakeem effort in either victory vs GS this season.

Rockets don't need to play perfectly to beat GS either.

Kenny is simply downplaying the Rockets. That fact is obvious and irrefutable.

    Your imagination is not fact.

Kenny is not downplaying the Rockets, Video evidence shows.

Except he did in the video you posted in this same thread.

Maybe the discrepancy is what "dissed" means.

He didn't state anything untrue, but he did low-ball the Rockets.

Seriously, he couldn't even say the Rockets were good this season.

What exactly are you talking about ?

Warriors shot 3PT at a MUCH higher % than the Rockets and still lost twice.

Rockets don't need perfect games to beat GS.

He has already said they are really good and acknowledge they are up there as one of the two best teams right in the video.

I don't get what you are complaining about. Kenny isn't going to be a Houston homer on national TV.

    Are you Pryuen??

Dude cherry picked one sentence about free throws in a LeBron article and said the US MEDIA was Dissing Yao.

We're back to YOF mentality here.

How Can US Media Be So Mean To Yao Ming ?
    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/how-can-us-media-be-so-mean-to-yao-ming.124298/

And among the league's superstars and possible MVP candidates, James ranks far behind Dirk Nowitzki (91), Steve Nash (88), Kobe Bryant (86), Gilbert Arenas (84) and Dwyane Wade (81). Even 7-foot-6 Yao Ming (87 percent) shoots his free throws better than James.

Yeah but at least Barkley is entertaining. Kenny Smith is a boring company man. Props to Dream for carrying this scrub on his back.

You have to admit, people REALLY CARE ABOUT MEDIA ACCEPTANCE now
We're not even at all star break, could they at least wait til the conference finals??

I think some of you all long to be hated. Anything that isnt "the Rockets are the best team ever" is deemed as hating. The Warriors have four all stars, three who average 20 plus a game. The fifth starter just won DPOY. Of course they are the favorites.

And the reality is that the Rockets are getting the Rapture treatment. They want to see the stars of this team to prove it to them in the playoffs. I hope and think they will but until then it is okay to have doubters.

Kenny seems to get offended when current Rockets team are compared to his championship team. On TNT he shook his head and rolled his eyes whenever it was brought up that Harden's Rockets had the best record for the franchise through 50 games. He's a fan of the Rockets teams he was on, not the current Rockets.

Don't know why some of you crying. Until we get to the finals, we should be doubted. Why try to crown ourselves until before we actually prove ourselves? Why do some of you newcomers see us viewing T-Mac's career as one of abject failure? Yeah, we beat GSW 2 out of 3. That was awesome. That was also the regular season. Anyone who has ever watched the playoffs know that the playoffs is a completely different beast. Defenses tightens up. Role players step up. Harden and CP3 both have monkeys on the back and no amount of adoration from us Rockets fans will ever throw that off for them or for us. You know what will? Harden, CP3, and MDA going into the playoffs and smashing each team in the mouth until we hoist that O'Brien trophy. Right now we are on a hell of a ride, but we still got a lot of games ahead of this, so rather than look for every slight or argue about who's better, let's sit back and enjoy our season and look forward to our playoffs.
