Brutal first half, we playing worse than the Saudis.

Mexico playing at 110%. They were huffing and puffing by end of the half.

Germany needs to be patient and not give the ball away. That's exactly what Mexico is looking for.

This is where not having a prolific striker like Klose hurts. You could send the ball in the box and wreck havoc. I really don't see a goal scoring threat on Germany. Muller plays best behind a dangerous striker where he finds pocket to attack. Werner has not been that threat for Muller to operate behind in the first half.

I could easily see Germany coming in and winning 3-1 due to Mexico looking gassed.

Could also see Mexico pouring it on in second half.

Counter attacks were too quick for Germany.

Man... Chicharito f*cked up on that 2-on-1 fast break like he was Eric Gordon.

Werner needed to hit the target there.

Can't waste chances like those in a game like this.

Imagine if we get Germany vs Brazil in R16 if Mexico win this group!

I wonder if the Brazilians would love that matchup so they get their opportunity for revenge.

Also.... I forget the stat but defending champs at the next worlld cup havent done so well in the first group match...in a while.

Add in the Confed cup winners not going on to win the WC..or do well overall i think, but i might be wrong on that..

Werner's injury could be a blessing in disguise for Germany. He is no where ready for the big stage.

Might as well play Gomez because he at least provides a constant aerial threat.

Striker difference is why I have Spain over Germany this WC.

Spain has Costa in the box. Germany doesnt.
