People in Pakistan live hand to mouth and are barely surviving. I find it insulting that you seem to think it is some kind of joke. Maybe someday you will wise up.

This is interesting. I've never been to Pakistan but I do have some coworkers there and they are female. I work in the tech industry.

I did find this article surprising, though. The last time I was in Pakistan was 2007 (in Lahore...have never been to Karachi), and I noticed female employees in all sorts of places (stores, restaurants, ice cream parlors, etc). Maybe I just didn't observe a large enough sample. Sad, nonetheless.

From what my cousins there told me, jobs in KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Subway, etc. are highly sought after by the middle class in Pakistan. Makes sense, considering all of these establishments are sure to pay you and have air conditioning.
