Those are mostly club seats, I'm willing to bet the empty seats are from the fans that have gotten free tickets via business sponsorship.

That's about to change. Trump tax cut eliminated using Sports tickets as expenses on taxes. The heyday of corporate entertainment is over...for now.

IF it's true that this will cause a large reduction in corporate tickets, this could drive down ticket prices in an effort to fill the seats.
Or not, if these seats are all bought quickly. But Houston doesn't have the front-running fanbase that has to be seen at all the games when they're doing well, to be associated with the limelight. Like *cough* California teams.

And that’s why our attendance sucks. Well not main reason, but it would help to fill those “sold seats”

First you'd have to stOP SELLING SEASON TICKETS TO CORPORATE HEADS THAT NEVER SHOW. Greasy Tilman

Oh and @CorporateHeads please give those tickets to your inferiors because they love the Rockets

Not allowing bidding on flash seats listings is not why our attendance sucks. They just started last season with this policy. Our attendance didn’t suddenly fall off at that point.

It is true that they don’t want people undercutting their prices if games aren’t sold out. That part makes sense.

However, this “no bidding” policy is relatively new. The attendence problem is old. I don’t see any major correlation here.

Let's first focus on selling out every playoff game.

Allow bidding on flashseats or lower ticket prices. Houston is a pretty bad sports city other than football.

How much of a difference do people think allowing bidding will make? Bidding was allowed in the past and TC still looked pathetic.

No but it did fall off to a certain degree..
Upper bowls used to be packed when flash seats bidding was on, as soon as they took that off the upper deck became like the lower bowl. Dead and quiet

I sat up there all last season and will be there all this season yelling my ass off wearing my GG jersey. Doing my part! It’s all I can do! ;)

I will most likely offer some seats to CF during the season. I would be happy to sit next to passionate fans...even if I lose some money on the seats.

Houston is a pretty great sports city aside from basketball.

    The Astros don't have issues.

You just get to Houston 2 years ago? Lol.

The Astros would average less people than Toyota center a few year ago. Funny how winning a ring changes things

Yes when the Astros weren't even trying to field an MLB team it hurt them at the gates.

Some have urgent matters/better things to do and decide not to go before tipoff.

Couldn't find somebody else to take it. Also rich dudes.

    Vacant seats.

If they aren't in their seat and they are in the Lexus lounge like everyone has said for years, doesn't the team make more money since they are pounding beers in the Lexus lounge?
