There's a place in Richardson (in the Richardson/Dallas/Plano area) that's run by a guy from Quebec. Can't remember exactly where it is or what its name is anymore; it's been a looooong time.

Fries from an A&W stand in Okinawa in the late 60s.

I've yet to taste anything like that since.

i bet if you had those exact same fries now, they wouldnt be as good as you remember it. You were probably just really hungry at that moment.

Waffle Fries and Curly Fries are unstoppable. Crinkle fries are pretty damn good as well.

Actually, they were better than anything I could get on post as a kid, so I ate a crap load of them. Anyway, most us dependents on that hill hung out there, A&W.

I remember those fries. Really do. All fries I've eaten, even to this day, had been compared to those. When I find an A&W these days, their fries just don't match up. Ah, hell, it WAS a looooooong time ago.

THinking about all this made me realize that white rice has been my only constant...as far as food goes.

You haven't lived until you had Carne Asada Fries. I think only San Diego area Mexican taco shops sell them.
