Haven't had a fast food shake in an extremely long time, but as far as restaurants go... Avalon has a great chocolate shake Goode Co Taqueria has a great choc/cinnamon shake Becks Prime 59 Diner
Steak 'n Shake. Whataburger. 59 Diner. Your list is incomplete. No wonder "Other" is winning by such a wide margin.
I'm with Rashmon, if you don't mind payin' $5 for a milkshake, then Jack Rabbit Slim's is great. I recommend it Martin & Lewis but you may prefer Amos & Andy. I can't recommend, however, the shakes at the bowling alley. Prince's It's just Bluebell and whole milk. It the % of butterfat that makes the milkshake. I had a 22% butterfat shake at a place called Cow's in Canada once. The best.
I just ate at one in Florida this last week...really wish we still had them in Houston. There was one on Memorial just east of Dairy Ashford when I was a kid...but it shut down in the early-80's. Wish they'd come back. As for the list....I like Jack in the Box shakes from the ones listed....but I prefer: 59 Diner Purple Cow (Little Rock)
I'm not sure if people voted Chikafila just because they like the food their the best, or because the shakes are actually good there. I've only had a shake from McDonalds and Sonic. Sonic is better.
So, from most of the responses in this thread... I think I'm going to go to Steak N' Shake for a milkshake.......
Chick-Fil-A makes good shakes. They do it up right, with real ice cream and milk and they top it with whipped cream and a cherry. I hated having to vote for the crazy right wing evangelical James Dobson followers, but they do make a good shake. The only downside is that Chick-Fil-A, like all the people who actually make and mix the shake, charges about twice as much as the places like McDonalds that make a "milkshake-like-product" with a soft-serve machine.
Not a single mention of Fuddruckers? They use milk and real ice cream. I know it's a chain and not a hip family owned joint, but their milkshakes are top notch....TOP NOTCH!!!!
