Ah Furcal, your tenure as an Alien is over.
These 4 years you've lingered on my roster
in 2005 you were a highlight on a bad team
in 06 you helped lead my roster to the title
although you were never a superstar,
those were the good days.
In 07 you had a foot injury and were ineffective
I replaced you with Renteria.
In 08, you were a May MVP, leading the way to my
early season success.
But carrying countless fantasy teams must have been
too difficult for your back to bear, and you shut it down
I wasted an IR roster spot for way too long in hopes of your return,
in hindsight.
Somehow you still coaxed the Braves to offer you way too much money,
and then used them to get the Dodgers to do the same.
May you take your bloated contract and continue to nurse your injuries,
on the disabled list, frequently, in a McGradian style.
