ESPN News is reporting that the Mets will trade Cameron before opening day and the destination will either be Houston or Seattle. God, if you are listening, tell the Mets about Redding's stuff and make this happen.
We could certainly use the help, but I'm not sure I like this move if it's at the expense of Lane's playing time.
If they can get Cameron for Redding then I'm all for it. But in terms of this off-season, no the can't, because in this specific case it shouldn't have even come to this, and thus far, they haven't.
But you and I both know they are not going to get Cameron for Redding when previous scenarios had us sending Burke in a three way deal. The Mets can pick up Redding for virtually nothing, here in about a month or so. I'm partially kidding with the last comment, but you never know. (especially with Redding)
I personally guarantee you in the amount of $3.28 that the acquisition or non-acquisition of Cameron will not significantly reduce Lane's playing time.
Maybe this just happened? 610 is saying Burke to A's, Byrnes to Mets, Cameron to Astros. I'd rather have Byrnes than Cameron.
