Should be a fun, high scoring affair. Both teams have great offenses but luckily for the Miners we also have a defense. Do any of you Coogs fans out there think you have a shot at winning this sucker?
Well, two starters and a second stringer. Luckily, the defensive line is probably the Miners second deepest position, after wide receiver. There shouldn't be too much of a drop-off from the group that sacked NMSU 8 times... Aren't the Coogs missing some starters on defense as well?
NMSU is a high school team...I'm excited about watching this game as it'll be very entertaining...Coogs win 49 - 42... Go Coogs!!!
That is true, that's why our starters left the game early in the third quarter against them. Should have pulled them out earlier, actually. No reason to keep them in with a 28-0 lead three minutes into the second quarter...
Sad this about this game is that neither team will be near full strength. Coogs had their two best defenders go down with injuries in the Spring, and then their next two best defenders go down with injuries against Oregon. UTEP is pretty banged up as far as I hear too, mostly on the defensive side of the ball. This could be a ridiculous track meet.. I hope it isn't though.. the more points scored I think the less of a chance the Coogs have to win.
