Good Lord This is why the right is a joke. They have moved so far to the right the paranoia is staggering.
The right is not a joke, it's part of an overall strategy by the real power brokers in the US. Promoting extremism moves the center to the right. Promoting a schism between ideologies ensures obstruction in Congress. What is the one thing business needs to profit? Stability. If business knows laws effecting them won't change, that tax rates and regulations are set, they can adjust business plans for long term profitability. This current sweet spot for corporate profits, gains from the Bush/Gramm/Greenspan years, is what this is all about. Everything is always about the money.
