It's impossible to make anything but a guess at this point. Who has the better talent though? That's Embiid. But better carreer is not only determined by raw talent. KAT has a much better team around him and doesn't have injury concerns. He is also almost 2 years younger than Embiid. So far Embiid is the far better defender (KAT is not just above average he is right now as a sophomore a bellow average defender). But KAT is a much better passer. Embiid can't pass, his usage right now is at a lridiculous level and so his numbers in offence aren't just inflated they are super inflated. KAT now is playing as a part of a team, Embiid doesn't. So when Embiid will have to share the court at some point in the future with other players who require big usage if he doesn't learn to pass the ball that will be a big problem for his team success. Another part that determines carreer success is character. Embiid's character has some big questionmarks, but he is very young so we will see if he matures. BTW OP, 5 years from now is not enough to see who has the better carreer. In 5 years KAT will not have even hit UFA yet.
I guess KAT, since everyone is telling me the post shot is trash in the modern NBA. Embiid is balling off in the post, but the D'antoni's of the world are telling me they'd rather Josh Smith jack a 3.
That's true, but it's also true that KAT plays 35 minutes per game, Embiid 20/25...but anyway, personally i'd still take Embiid if i'm sure that is not going to have problems with his foot Spoiler so i'd probably take KAT in reality lol
I would take Kat, only because Joey is always hurt. Joey is a way better player than KAT. It's not even close.
It's Embiid. He actually has a positive +/- on the team, which is absurd. His affect on the game goes beyond the numbers, which KAT just cannot sniff on the defensive end.
Towns will play better once Minny unloads Rubio. What the defenses are doing to him since Rubio doesn't need to be guarded is a big hinderance.
Embiid is a player I love to watch, but am kind of glad is not on my team. By that I mean great if he's there, but just to unreliable in terms of injury and the risk of him breaking down (just like Davis as OMG points out above).
