I dont see a thread on the subject , sorry if I missed it. Seems like I often (even after proof reading) notice some silly mistake in my posts that I'd like to edit as soon as Ive hit the post button. Is this a feature thats only available to mods or contributing members or a specific rep level ? Sure would be nice to have the ability to go back and fix a mistake even if it was for a limited amount of time after said post. ARGGgggGGgg :kicks self: for not seeing those mistakes the first time. Maybe I shouldnt post while blind in Texas. :shots:

But it's just editing a post.. Would be nice to fix mistakes. Doesn't seem like too much of a privilege. Usually a standard feature on a BBS.
There is a PREVIEW mother crackin' feature. USE IT. Perhaps you can PREVIEW what mistake you would do. [PREVIEW POST] instead of [submit reply] next time... it's there for everyone, but unfortunately SUBMIT is before PREVIEW... maybe they should be switched around to help the dumb? On any other ORDINARY BBS, maybe. This is a well-moderated, heavily used, smoothly-operating BBS... far more advanced than your ordinary BBS you're used to, sir. There are thousands if not hundreds of users here at any given time ALL the time... if it were only a few peeps, maybe it could be given to everyone... but, there aren't only a few peeps here. There are many of us. Yeah, it's way better and EXTRAordinary. Señor Corrosion: there are only a few smileys surrounded by colons available here. There are only the following: ROLLEYES, MAD, COOL, EEK, CONFUSED and GRIN The other five are the standard wink with semicolon then parenthesis, frown with colon then parenthesis, smilie with colon then parenthesis, stick out tongue with colon then lower case P, and embarrassment (or, to me, the serious looking down red smilie guy) with colon then o. And then email Clutch and ask to have your status changed, making a reference to the payment that you made so he can find it. Then cross your fingers he finds the time to do it.
What if you were able to edit a post 1 hour after you made it? That way you could edit any mistakes. And contributing members could edit whenever they wanted.
Why is it so #$)_+$#$)*&^ DIFFICULT to proofread your post befre you click "submit"!?!?!? Also, why can't you click the PREVIEW button? Looks like you're uselessly complaining about an easy way for you to stop yourself from looking silly. You're not some kindergarten kid who doesn't know how to spell or RE-read your own posts.
An hour after you've made a mistake it's going to be read by a LOT less people and usually isn't worth correcting; the damage has been done.
Dude , cool your jets. I didnt know if the feature worked for anyone. I was simply asking for some clarification on the subject. Its over , move on.
Wow I've never seen a forum so protective over an edit feature and get so offended when people ask for one.
