This is why Jerome Solomon needs to get run out of town. Justice and Feigan are total toadies to Morey, Solomon ruins the media environment for Rockets stars and potential Rockets stars.

I'm not even sure why the DH to Lakers rumors started, he hasn't made any Melo press release at all. This reminds me of the Bosh to the Lakers "rumor" last year.

I just hope big time that he doesn't go to the Lakers. They don't deserve to have their championship hopes reignited

    Very misleading title...

He clearly states, "I'm not blaming the media."

not saying anything to support your post. not doing jack **** unless you get me a greenie. I have a whole deep, expansive, wide net of little posters here who are greenies-giving-fishies candidates in all their plurality....now that DD has created such a vaccuum

At least they will actually be giving up something this time if they do get him but it will be frustrating to see the best center in the league end up with the Lakers for the 4th time.

Somebody burn down the Chronicle building real quick. It's the only way we have a shot at Dwight now.

Ric Bucher (on air) on Howard's Wants:

    1) Upgrade the supporting cast and get me Chris Paul or Deron Williams.

    2) If you can't, send me to the Knicks, Nets, Lakers, or Mavs.

Howard wants an All-NBA teammate, and the Lakers aren't as high up on the list as folks think because of Kobe's age.

Howard's blaming the wrong people. He should be blaming Wade, Bosh and LBJ. They changed the SOP of the NBA. Now when a star player finishes the season going into the final year of his contract, he has to declare his intentions for the next contract. Otherwise his a$$'s gonna get traded. Especially with a small market team.

Good luck with #1. Orlando's salary cap management is a disaster. Just on Gilbert Arenas and Hedo Turkoglu the owe:

    2011/12: $30.0M
    2012/13: $32.0M
    2013/14: $34.5M

As for the Lakers, their salary situation is a total mess too. Hopefully no stupid GM will bail them out and let them suffer for awhile.

I don't know who is right here....but I can tell you I was in Orlando after 1996 when the Magic got swept out by the Bulls. The Orlando paper went bat-crap crazy talking about how Shaq would never win rings and doing all sorts of polls of the city about whether they wanted him back or not. I thought that was crazy then, and I think it's even crazier now.

I disagree with lumping Solomon into this. Solomon is critical of a franchise that has won 1 playoff series in 13 seasons....as he should be, in my opinion. He's critical of the organization and its management. This is something very different. You may not like Solomon, but this isn't the same thing.

If the articles are stupid, start a blog, or write a letter to the editor, and explain why in a very articulate and critical manner. People will respect you immensely for it. If the Magic allow it, I guess.

The public has a right to know!!!! So does the ticket holders, scalpers, Bar owners.... Amazing how one "athlete" holds so much leverage/power in a city's economy...Ask Cleveland

Oh boo hoo. If you think the media is harsh in a town defined by Mickey Mouse and a bunch of retirement homes, let's see how you do in LA or NY.
