Since DVD decryptor has been shutdown is there any more software that will do the same job for free? I already have DVD shrink but it will not work with all movies
as long as your old version contines to fucntion...why should you care if there are updates? and I have yet to meet a disc that DVD Shrink cant handle...
SLYSOFT Works great for me, plug in the ANYDVD and it works great with Nero and Roxio.. It's a try before you buy, but it was well worth the money... Some of ANYDVD stuff Features * Works as a driver automatically in the background * Removes encryption (CSS) and region code (RPC) from DVDs * Removes analogue copy protection (Macrovision) * Removes prohibited user operations like forced subtitles and other limitations * Decrypts WITHOUT having to save the data onto the hard disk * Decrypts "on the fly" * Prevents launch of software from your Video DVDs (e.g., PC-Friendly) * Allows setting of your vertical refresh rate depending on the video material * Allows execution of programs on disc insertion and removal * Allows speed control of your DVD drives * Works with all DVDs * Works with all DVD-drives, no matter what region code it has * Works with every DVD copying and player software (e.g. CloneDVD) * Works transparently for the operating system: DVDs can be shared over the network, they can be copied with the command prompt or with Windows Explorer, etc. * Proven to be stable and fast, does not need an ASPI driver * New Feature AnyCDDA: play, copy and rip protected Audio CDs!
I've never used it, but if it does the same job as DVD Decrypter (extracts everything from the DVD), get a little proggie called DVD2One (I got it off a friend so not sure where to download it from - try Google). With DVD2One you just give it the source directory (with all the .VOBs and .IFOs), a desitnation directory and then choose either to get just the movie or the full disk then away you go! You will have whatever you choose (move or full disk) in the destination directory ready to burn using Nero (or whatever burning program you use). Agree with DVD Shrink - yet to find a DVD it couldn't handle - with the exception of DVDs that have scratches or are a little dirty
