http://www.uncbasketball.com/recruiting/mcd01/white_slamjam2.mpg http://www.uncbasketball.com/recruiting/mcd01/white_slamjam1.mpg got them from nbadraft.net, damn this kid is scary (one of them is behind the freethorw line i believe, this kid is only 6-6) please watch the slow motion
I saw that when it was first on tv, very awesome. He got beat by his teammate at Florida though. I forget his name, he's like a 6-8 white guy with red hair I think. He won by tossing the ball up for a high bounce and taking his jersey off in between. There must have been some female judges. . .
Not during the NBA dunk contest, he was like 3 steps over the line. He gets credit for trying to do it 2 handed though.
Mike Powell and Mike Conley could dunk from behind the free throw line. I watched one of them (can't remember which), dunk form about a foot behind the line with ease. Oh, and if you're wondering, Powell was an Olympic long jumper, and Conley was an Olympic triple jumper. That FT line crap NBA players do is nothing compared to these 2.
all jordan had was the FT line dunk seriously. if you want a good dunker from that era, look at dominique and that guy that played for the knicks i think ...nickname 'skywalker'??? then of course, you got that 11 ft. goal dunk by the glide.
i think by the time he's in the nba he might be compared to the actual mj. He's got the speed, the jumping. All he needs are fundamentals, and heart, and desire. But the things he needs are really hard to get. but hey you never know. Nobody thought Jordan would be that good. And it would be cool to have l. james, and j. white be the next jordans and kobes of the nba.
That's nice and all.........but open dunks are no longer are that impressive to me. Everyone has hops these days. Rather see somebody get "poster-ized" in a game.
J.White is overrated he can dunk but thats about it . I think that in best case he would be an average nba player just like R.Davis .
