Our weather guy said a pattern is forming in the Pacific that usually means a lot more rain...El Nino I think.....

So, maybe we will break out of it.

Yes, it would be an El Nino, and it could be the biggest one in recorded history. IF it does form it will not be until late Summer or early Fall though, or so I've been reading on WU.

Well, Harris and Montgomery Counties are out of the drought, thanks to the rain on Monday. I'm sure we'll be right back in it in a few weeks, but that rain REALLY helped.

We're still yellow. We need to be white.

Yeah, I think we were white for about a month during the winter this year.

According to the chart, yellow means "abnormally dry" which is a step above "moderate drought." Hey, I'll take it.

Yep. Still in drought, but better looking over all for the state. Eat Texas area (Lufkin Nacogdoches) just recently entered into the sight category. Looks like they are close to being back out of it.

Saw on yesterday that Lake Conroe has finally reached compacity again after falling short four years running. The spillway is in full effect so it should be some nice fishing along the San Jacinto River Authority Canals.

Maybe a little off topic, but we all need water and this has the added benefit of having some drummer action for ima.

It's raining heavy again in Austin -- wettest drought ever. Just because the lakes are low doesn't mean we're in a drought -- sooner or later there will be heavy rain in the right place that will raise the lakes to normal in a few days.

Have you actually seen the lakes?

Yesterday was a nice downpour on the Highland lakes...but it didn't make a dent.
