This one is almost too good to be true. A buddy of mine told me about this one, and he wouldn't joke about something like this...

Dick Bavetta was one of the officials for a game and Clyde mutters something along the lines of...

"Good old Dick Bavetta...everybody loves big dick."

    Can anyone confirm this one???

I agree, Bill needs to stop saying that. It does get annoying, I hate hearing it. "Shanghai Shake" does not sound cool at all.

I heard this one when the Lakers came to town to play the Rockets (it was the game when Deke passed Kareem to be #2 all-time on the blocked shots list). Drexler said something like Smush Parker is a great defensive player and I went to the Lakers' message board and everybody that was watching the Rockets' feed on NBATV or league pass was laughing their asses off at that comment.

Okay, to be fair, I would rather have him than some of those other band-wagon commentators. Plus he's probably the most humble, nice, guy you'll find, albeit foolish sometimes.

    Anyways here's one:

After Yao had just dunked the ball (this was during the Blazers game)

Clyde: "Wait, can he even get over the rim?"

Bill Worrel: ".....(silence) Of course....he just dunked it!"

Clyde:"Ha ha ha ha .....you're so right" (in a Keanu Reaves voice in Bill & Ted's)------kidding this is just my fantasy filler

    Poor guy

    "NOT INN MY HOOUSE"
"There you go see a great pass from tracy mcgrady to yao ming for the score. Nothing but net"
" 1/10th of a sec. you can see the red light underneath the basket which means time has expired"
"If you can try to control the tempo of the game, the defense is usually stellar by the end of the game"
"As he goes so does the rockets"
"there's a mouse in the house"

Right on with that dig on Bull's telestrating. I don't know what it is, but his diagrams are always so uninformative. I never get the sense that he's providing any insight, but only describing the action as it unfolds, like a really slow play-by-play.

I remember Mike Fratello diagramming a play during the Jazz series. It was a "flex" play where Boozer set a screen on the low block while a guard set a down-pick on Yao which allowed Boozer to pop to the high post for an open jumper. I found his description to be so much more direct, clear and educational than one of Bull's diagrams. Of course I guess there's a reason that Fratello is known as the "Tsar of the Telestrator".

Let's go to Iceland so that we can go for all 7.

Clyde talking about a game featuring people from all 7 continents in the world. LOL.

This could make a great drinking game. Every time Drexler says something strange, take a shot!
