Donald Trump loosens sanctions preventing Russia intelligence agencies from cyberspying

the sanctions, walls, bans are all euqally stupid and should be lifted. Trump can do good things.

 

This is what gets Trump impeached if demonstratively true. This is treason.

It probably can be proven, but it has to be beyond reasonable doubt IMO. And I suspect the Russian Intelligence are good enough at covering their tracks to make proving beyond reasonable doubt impossible without Russian help.

 

If this is indeed what took place, these records will be things Russia can use to get Trump to do their bidding, not some sex tapes.

This is a fix to an unintended consequences. Obama did the same when easing his own sanctions against Iran to complete the nuke deal because otherwise the language wouldn't have allowed the deal to happen.

 

And what deal are we going to get out of this? We know what Russia gets out of it. What are we getting?

 

it was reported us companies cannot sell electronics to Russian companies or at least it's very difficult and expensive. supposedly easing this one particular sanction eases that. so if true I guess American electronic companies make more money?

 

Sounds like a bad deal for America except for one very specific business venture.

Why does that end the problem? IT is what the Russians used to try and hack the United States democracy. Not sure why it's a closed case because it allows U.S. companies to sell IT to the Russians.

 

I mean if American jobs are related it could be good but I don't know enough to be certain.

 

Because as we both know, this thread was framed as some "traitorous conspiracy" of Trump committing "treason" by loosening sanctions on the FSB.

Unfortunately, the truth of the matter is this was a "technical fix to avoid unintended consequences...Planned under Obama".

And the usual suspects of the left who scream "CONSPIRACY!" "TRAITOR!" "IMPEACH!" scurry off like cockroaches when the light is exposed.

 

I suspect this is still WH spin. Her tweet does not validate the claim it just puts it out there.

From this Reuters article it was the treasury department's plan, devised before Trump took office, to make it easier to bring in tech since FSB gets a cut because the software contains cryptography.
Less exciting, but also less nefarious and not treason.

except by providing IT to the govt. that hacked and tried to subvert our democracy it isn't that much of a stretch to point out that it might be traitorous. Since we know that the govt. that used IT to commit espionage acts against the United States are now being allowed to purchase more IT.

This actually falls into the category of something that might be conspiracy/traitor. I prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to the United States democracy. That would be true if Russia hadn't tried to subvert our democracy and were only guilty of Military invasion of other nations and expansionist policies, killing and imprisoning politicians other political dissidents. But it turns out they guilty of all of that.
