Don Knotts dead at 81

What a bummer.
In his own way, the man was a genius.

 

He made the Andy Griffith show as funny as it is. Even on 3's Company, he was still comedy genius. In Mr. Furley and Barney Fife, he portrayed 2 of the most clean-but-comedically-funny characters on TV for me.

 

I'm really sorry to hear this.

It's a tremendous loss.

 

He's chillin with his buddy Jack Tripper.

 

Don Knotts made his comic timing look easy. He and Andy Griffith played so well off each other. Awesome talent who made millions laugh.

Mr. Furley to Jack Tripper in Heaven:

"I thought homosexuality was a sin. What are you doing here?"

 

"Up here'n heaven there's plenty of Mr. Furley for every chick to go around... hmmm" [stretches his arms]... *sniff*...

 

He was great.

I thought Mr. Roper was better in 3's Company, but Barney and his Disney movies were fun to watch.

 

remember the three's company episode when mr. furley thought jack was gay. man that was funny.

 

Not nearly as funny as the one with the misunderstanding due to eavesdropping.

 

"THE POT???? YES, I brought the POT!"

 

Ever notice that Frasier used the exact same premise?
