It isn't his fault they printed it but he listed it as "Sensitive but unclassified" when it seems clear this was "Classified: Confidential" at a minimum. The pages were stamped classified.

9 months is the time you get to make the USA safe from terror? OK great so what is the timeline for fixing the economy? This turnabout crap is so old.

Well, judging by one of the greatest presidents of all time, it will take more or less 12 years, plus a world war in between for chuckles.

Well the great part about that was he did both at one time, so it took longer.

Clinton team tried to warn Bush about Bin Laden as well but Bush & Co were arrogant and pretty much dismissed anything from the outgoing clinton team.

    That certainly didn't help matters.

They pages were marked Confidential, not Classified. Big difference.

I think the general consensus is this was a mistake by someone in Congress. Mistakes happen. That's fine. They should review the process and the committee that is responsible for the release of this info should be held accountable.

But it seems to me this is a thinly veiled attempt to strike out against Obama without adequate evidence. And it's these kinds of things that push me further and further away from respecting the right.

That's what Basso and Co fail to understand. They aren't convincing anyone, they are just pushing moderates away.

Confidential is a subset of classified. I made a mistake by saying they were marked classified, I should have specified they were marked Confidential. I think you should have infered that when I said they should have been "Classified: Confidential"

So one administration leaks real nuclear intelligence, and the other one just makes it up.

    do you understand it?

"Highly Confidential Safeguards Sensitive" DOES NOT EQUATE TO "CLASSIFIED"

One is senstive the other is classified

if it was classsied they should have stamped "CLASSIFIED" and not "Highly Confidential Safeguards Sensitive"

do you even know what the meaning of subset it?

are all confidential - CLASSIFIED? NO

are all classified - CONFIDENTIAL? YES

CLASSIFIED is a SUBSET of CONFIDENTIAL

Nice use of capital letters. It seems you are wrong though.

Classified means it has a classification. The above are the classifications. Thus, Confidential is a SUBSET of classified.

According to the article, it was not marked with the highest level of classified material. Confidential is the lowest - in your post it shows that too.

Experts have said this isn't that big of a deal. It's a deal, but not that big of one. And I think people are trying to tie it to the president with a bit of a stretch.
