an elite stretch 4 is a plus. but at the very least i would say they have to be respectable. 35% or higher. that's probably where you find lower cost bigs that can shoot but not really a true shooter. but it also helps since the league is now small ball those bigger wings move over to the 4 position.

Oh, I dunno. I still find the huge reliance on threes to be a serious risk in the playoffs when they're not falling or they're guarded well. Maybe I'm still thinking old school, but I'd kinda prefer a bigger guy who can make a midrange shot (OMG, did I just say a dirty word?) and most importantly crash the boards giving us more second chance points and outlet passes for fast breaks. Capela and Nene are not going to handle all of that themselves as the two alternating 5s. When Harden is guarding the other team's 4 (and, granted, he seems to be pretty good at it), you might be a little small as a team.

Stretch 4 is a huge luxury in terms of the spacing it provides. Anderson has his flaws but I didn’t expect to see him fall out of the rotation the way he did. Last season and early this season the dude provided a lot of value. Maybe he lost confidence bc the team was always trying to trade his ass. Im sure his injuries didn’t help either which gave Tuck a chance to be in the starting lineup.

Melo with Defense would be a nice fit on this team as currently constructed.

What he needs is to play exactly like Lebron and have 50 pt game against the Warriors.

Rockets need as many 2-way players as possible.

Our most successful lineup in the NBA playoffs featured a stretch 4 in Tucker or Ariza, so yea.

We need a stretch 5, a Mehmet Okur type to free the lane for Hardens drives.

    Kevin Durant
    Paul George
    Aaron Gordon

Lebron James is not quite as good of a defender anymore but he would still top list above.

    Facepalm op .. ugh....

Yes harden and cp3 need floor spacers for the offense to work. If you cant shoot they arent going to guard you at the 3 point line.

If we trade anderson itll be as a part to get a star which would make tucker/lebron/ whoever the 4.

We wont have a mid level exception. We will have a taxpayers exception. Mid level caps you at the tax apron

I disagree, the oop to Capela actually creates an extra passing lane. Gasol is probably the closest thing to Okur now and I don't think he would be a better fit. It's close though. One thing I would like to see Meyers Leonard. In our system I think he would be serviceable instead of one of the worst contracts in the NBA. I can see Morey taking him back in a Ryno dump.

No. Two versatile wings (perhaps one named Lebron or Paul), Capela, and CP. RING.
