    Military parades are horrible when you have to participate in them and especially when you have to plan them. The logistics of such an event would be a nightmare, super expensive in terms of funds and lost man hours and not very efficient overall. Having stood in many parades during the course of my career, I feel sorry for the service members who get hit with this particular detail.

    What colonel bonespurs didn't say, the money could be better spent (and nope... not on more jets). btw, his own pentagon (who never really wanted this boondoggle) was responsible for costing this and do you think President Macron is now thinking... "jeez, now I have that dolt coming to get in on our parade").

    just like everything else, Trump's idea of a Nov 11 parade was impulsive / ill-conceived.

    imagine having a military parade just days after the Dems re-gaining control of the House, and possibly the Senate !

    Dotard's basic MO: Create a controversy with half-assed idea or policy...then claim credit when you "solve" problem you created in the first place.

    Dang, I was hoping that since the parade was a day after the midterms we could consider it a victory parade for the Demorats conquering the House and Senate.
