Do you think Dream would have been a center if he had played basketball all his life?

Every announcer I have heard during those days said dream was not 7' which is his listed height. But I recall that most if not all said he was between 6'10 1/2" and 6'11". He was definitely taller than Bull who I've seen stand next to him, and Bull is a legit 6'10".

If we're to compare to players today I'd say he's taller than Amare but shorter than KG. Dream had a 7 footers body but a 6'8" footers head if that makes any sense. His head made him shorter than others but his shoulders were just as tall as other 7 footers, along with his legs and arms.

Anyways back to the topic, no doubt he'd still be a center.

He took Ewing, Robinson, Kareem and Shaq to school in the playoffs.
I guess some people don't think those guys were 'centers' either.

The point is not that Hakeem was not a great center. You guys don't have to defend that point. No one in the right mind would think that Hakeem wouldn't have been a great center in any era.

The point is that the league has changed how they see and use athletic big men who can score away from the basket. Hakeem could definitely score away from the basket. And if he played now, he would very likely be used that way too.

The league was dominated by great centers and PGs in the 80s and early 90s. In the 21 century, it is dominated by wing men and PFs. That's just a trend. Whether the trend is good or bad is anyone's opinion.
