Do you have a superstition?

I was shopping for food in the campus convenience store in college. I had this long coat with big pockets, and there was a campus cop in the store. I was in the back row and had this kind of pensive scowl on my face, I'd already gotten a couple of items and was holding them down by my coat pockets at the same the cop walked in the row and I made eye contact with her. A few moments later I'm checking out at the register and I see the cop kind of dart out to stand near the door. The next few times I saw her on campus she would kind of squint and scan as if she was remembering me from somewhere.

From that day forward when I'm in a store and I have to carry stuff in my hands, I hold it up at my shoulders so it doesn't look like I'm trying to stick it in my pockets.
