Neighbors went to both Disney World and Legoland recently, and they thought Legoland was better. Kids did too.
Florida or Cali? How old? My oldest is entering Disney/Theme Park age (5). I've heard from many people that Disneyland is superior for younger kids (4-7~) and Disney World was better for the older set. My kid isn't into Legos, but it looks pretty cool from the pictures.
Went to the Legoland in Denmark when I was like 4yrs old, it's an absolutely wonderful experience for kids and feels like a little world.
California is the better park in all respects. (For Disney) But, especially for young kids. Disneyland's Fantasyland has a ton of attractions for kids 4-7, probably double that of Florida. Plus all of Toontown. Also way less time in transport and walking, kids won't get tired out as fast. Multiple places in the park for kids to run around on their own, ride free. Line waiting in general is way better in California too, so less cranky kids.
It's a PREFERENCE thing. There is no RIGHT answer. One of the BIGGEST Disney snobs is Robin Lopez. He prefers Disney LAND. Most people prefer WORLD. IMO... DisneyLAND - more chill, better "fast" food & drink (mangonada alcohol dole whip), easier to manage, better weather, traffic RIP (don't even **** with LA on that trip), hotter looking people, you might see someone famous (saw Favreau for ex), WAY BETTER characters (people dressed up as whatever the **** kids like) DisneyWORLD - way less chill, foreigners, trailer people, HOT af, MID "fast" food, BUT much BETTER "fine" dining options, WAY more parks and **** to see and WAY harder to manage (you'll be exhausted and overloaded with things to do). I would do LAND unless i was staying at a NICE resort at WORLD AND food and wine was going on at Epcot AND had a holiday party to go to (XMAS or Halloween or something). GOOD LUCK, BOZOS
That is correct. DL is better for young kids because both parks are smaller and can be done in shorter chunks. DW is huge and needs almost 1 full day per park to really get it all done. I took my kids to DL when they were 3 and 7. We just went to DW this past January when they were 13 and 17. Had a blast. Didn't hurt we went with my SIL who is a Disney freak/genius who knows how to get into every single ride. If you're going to go, use a Disney trained travel agent.
Done both. If I was going for one day, DisneyLAND might be slightly better. If I was going for a week, DisneyWORLD. I would stay at Dolphin/Swan. Can walk to Epcot and their Hollywood Park. Easy bus rides to WORLD and Animal Park, both are great for kids. From resort in walking distance, there are plenty of restaurant options at Epcot (reservations mostly required, so planning needed) and at the Boardwalk. Lego Land is 30 minute-ish drive away. There are non-Disney bus services that can get to the Universal parks and Sea World. IIRC there are two Disney water parks that Disney will provide busing to. Disney also provide busing to Disney Springs (which used to be Disney Downtown?). There is so much to do at WORLD, for one if not two weeks.
