    Something I see as strange is the fact that we can sign another player for multiple years even though Yao is only going to miss one as of now.

    We ran across that situation when we signed Marc Jackson to a restricted free agent offer using the injury exception for six years. Golden State matched the offer.

    What are the chances this has already been discussed with Von, Trevor, and x free agent?

    It will be telling if Trevor waits a while to sign with us. If he doesn't sign on day one, that means something might be up with this injury exception.
