Absolutely, Luis Scola! He is currently the best player on the Houston Rockets. It makes me glad to see Scola receive adulations from a publication like DIME.

They had an argument for each player. I would give beasly a few more years. Might never be a superstar, but I think he can get 20-10. He can shoot and is pretty athletic.

Scola right now. Beasley for the future.

Beasley is ridiculously good with both hands. he can post up, spread out and shoot with both hands...I believe he is ambidextrous. He is a decent rebounder and shot blocker. He has a pretty good vertical along with good athleticism. Scola is a great bruiser and hard working player but he's going to be getting up in age soon.

The Beasley article was pretty weak. He has a better 'feel for the game'? Scola is expendable because of Landry's emergence and Ariza's growth? I'd rather the ball run through Scola all day long than have Ariza dribble into a crowd.

Beasley does indeed have the brighter future but as of right now, Scola wins hands down.

The "advanced" minds' take on Scola
Just going off the soft Euro stereotype stretching it out into analysis. And Scola himself is NOT Euro, he's South American. Whats he thinking, that Scola is like Andrea Bargnani shooting jumpers?

Beasley's getting similar numbers being 10 years younger thans Scola. He does have a bright future.

    Right now, its even

But in a couple of years, Beas offcourse
Scola is solid, and will be very solid for a few years
but Bease could turn into a bigger Paul Pierce

Right now its definitely Luis Scola. Beasley is still only 21 years old with a ton of natural talent. Right now he is more in it for the money and the women. But he's still just kid. With age comes maturity. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him average 25+ PPG at some point.

Beasley plays 32 minutes a game.
7 rebounds a game - not real good for a power forward
.6 blocks a game - definitely not a shot blocker
.447 FG% - which hand is he ridiculously good at?
-4 plus minus for the season - one of the worst on his team

Certainly he could get better but now he is just ok... not great at all.

Right now it is most definitely not even.

Scola is the superior player by a wide margin. Better rebounder, better scorer and better defender

If his potential is fulfilled, his ceiling is Juwan Howard.
