Interesting angle provided there about the 3 point heaves. Part of was just not having the creators for the 2 point shots. And McGrady heat checking trying to will the ball in instead of working harder for closer shots. And a bit of credit to the Jazz defense. Cant just say lets shoot less 3's. Gotta take the open look if the defense gives it. Lowry, Wafer & Brooks are better at creating 2 point shots than what they had before. Hopefully those guys are seasoned and ready enough in the postseason.
instead of mac and rafer shooting 3's, we're getting the ball more to luis and yao, battier's getting more looks as well as brooks and the bench, we're a team, not a one man show.
are you guys watching the same rockets team as i am? we're still very one-man dependent and his name is ron artest.
nope, our team has already gotten out of heroism since T-Mac is done for the season. It's not Ron's own will to act that way, he has to take care of everything all by himself because his teammates can't show any reliability to deserve his trust.
Ron is just doing this out of necessity? I don't know if you guys have watched Ron at all in any of his past stops, but his ball-hogging play is about par for the course.
I mean just about after every loss people are complaining that Artest and Brooks are shooting us out of games.
LMAO. If this isn't giving somebody a "FREE PASS", I don't know what does. Seriously? Could you imagine if somebody said that about T-Mac? This thread would be 10+ pages long. There is no damn way you can blame Ron's teammates for his style of play. Maybe if this was a few years ago and Ron started alongside Ryan Bowen and David Wesley, but not with this team.
That's probably why the Rockets win when they do, going from shots that T-Mac and Alston would've missed into Scola and Yao points. Of course, the team will have a better chance of winning with higher percentage shots.
Won't mean a damn if we don't get out of the first round. The losses to Phx and LA were not a good omen, need to beat Portland and the remaining contending teams to go into the playoffs playing our best bball and with confidence. Artest has been talking smack virtually guaranteeing getting out of the first round but the way he's been playing says otherwise, he better catch fire for the remainder of the season if he means to back up his bold talk.
