What a totally bizarre story. I could see the gay angle. I can't fathom that he didn't know the story wasn't true. We will know eventually. This might be the most bizarre thing I've ever read.

I feel bad for him. I wonder when he found out he was being played. I'm guessing/hoping it was after she "died". People get tricked in online dating all the time. Hell, they get tricked in "traditional" dating all the time, too. If he panicked and made up a story to keep himself from being publicly embarrassed, it's disappointing, but I understand. Young kids with a lot to lose make bad decisions most of the time.
Also he says 'I miss 'em. But I know I'm gonna seem them again some day.' LOOOOOOL this guy is an idiot for trying to go down with the ship. Just come clean and cut your losses man!

So to clarify: Possibility 1 - He was in on it the whole time to boost his image. Possibility 2 - He was in on it to coverup being gay. Possibility 3 - He's a complete dope and didn't find out until later but continued the lie b/c he felt trapped.
