The court didn't say anything. They can charge him in the future if they want to. I am sure that Watson is relieved that he likely isn't looking at prison time for sexual assault but that doesn't mean he isn't guilty. Al Capone was never convicted of murder.... do you think anyone doubts he murdered people? Of course not.
Outside of the Cowboys (and maybe not even them) I'm not sure I've ever wanted a team to fail more than I will whichever team Watson gets traded to. I want everything to go wrong. I want inexplicable injuries. I want off-field issues. I want financial strife for the owner and sponsors. I want fans to get herpes. If the assistant equipment manager's best friend's neighbor drops his toast, I want it to land butter side down. I want it all to burn. **** you, Deshaun.
If your opinion is that Watson did nothing wrong then you're either a sociopath or astonishingly naive. No one should be cheering for him or defending him who isn't his family or his attorney.
For what he’s getting paid right now, there better be dividends in the short term. Same would be true if he was still going to be on the Texans (with the exception that they do have all their future picks).
A young stud corner is a significant franchise centerpiece. I think the Texans can start making noise as soon as 2024.
The courts make it damn near impossible for women to ever get a conviction from creeps like that unless they have it on camera.
It's not a conspiracy. "The courts" aren't doing anything wrong. It's the nature of the crime that makes it very difficult to prosecute. Trials don't typically happen based on he-said-she-said circumstances.
With the news of the trade happening, I'm going to lock this thread shortly... https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/deshaun-watson-to-the-browns-wow.315170/
Yup and the Panthers finished 5-12. Also the Saints don’t have Sean Payton anymore which is huge IMO. But all in response to Arthur Smith possibly being on the hot seat, there is nothing there to indicate that.
Damn, Lovie better draw up some plays and put some bounties out on Watson. This mother****er ****ing our organization....
Absolutely ridiculous. Why believe any accuser without proof? So anyone who ever accuses someone of something is to be taken at their word? So innocent until proven guilty is no longer the case. Okay, I got it. Hopefully you do not upset someone or get on the wrong side of a person with a grudge. Trust me, as an attorney, you will be shocked at how many charges of assault and rape are based on lies. That is why prosecutors are so hesitant to bring these cases. Once you dig into the facts of a lot or rape allegations, in many situations it boils down not just to he said, she said, but more importantly, who said what and when. This sort of circumstantial evidence does not make for a strong case. Also, grand juries are very favorable to prosecutors; they are created to indict, not to clear the accused. So if a grand jury in Houston said there was no case here, that says a lot about the evidence that was available to the prosecution.
The Texans didn't give a crap. They could've just cut him but they chose draft picks over how it looked. Pro Sports has some ugly warts sometimes. Ah Well.
