[Denver Post] Alcohol, Hard Drugs Led to Suspension for Birdman

"Bird Man" and I once had words while we were both attending Blinn College in my hometown. He got involved with a girl I used to mess around with, and decided that was a reason to get in my face at a party at my house. Apparently he was too drunk to take advantage of the 10" height difference and drove home without the girl. The guys a jerk.

 

I can't say it overtakes the Jazz, but it's not a great name. I always assumed more people had heard of the 14'ers. They're a pretty big tourist attraction. There are people who make it a goal to climb all of them (there are over 50).
