I had a laminectomy at L-4 L-5, and it has been great ever since. I had all the same problems...excruciating pain, sciatic nerve pain in my left leg, couldn't stand in one place for more than 30 seconds. Since that operation my lower back has been fine. Two weeks after that operation (June of 2002), I had a disc removed at C-6 C-7, and had the following put in to fuse the vertebre: It's this plate that has caused me so much pain ever since. A nerve is being pinched that is causing unending pain in my right arm, and my right hand has gone completely numb. I''ve been living off vicodin and soma for a couple of weeks now, and this can't go on.
Damn, thaddy, guess you'll have to wait for next year. http://books.guardian.co.uk/news/articles/0,6109,1373442,00.html
Man, you never know what the future holds, but more power to you...If you do find the one you can't live without, and she wants kids, vasectomy reversal here you come...
You guys realize you can freeze your sperm, right? Not that it matters, because if I find a woman that demands kids, she's clearly not "the one" for me.
basso, Remember to tell her that this was just his first reaction to it. This is huge and shocking news to the guy, it's really no surprise that his reaction was what it was. Hell, my brother in-law was freaked out when he knocked my sister up. Not knowing his financial situation (which I think leads to most people's freaked out emotions after hearing they're either pregnant or got someone pregnant), I think there's a good chance that in the next nine months, he'll turn around on the idea. At least I hope so.
Damn!!! (I wish the "eek" still had pulsating eyes!) It looks like they put a bumper off of an SUV in there. That's painful to look at. I wish I'd had your luck with your first operation, however. You just never know how these things will turn out. That's why I was so skeptical of Sura coming back so soon after back surgery, although I didn't know for sure what he'd had done. So they're going to go in and try to fix that train wreck?? Ouch!! I hope they're able to repair it. And I hope your recovery goes well. I know having a baby (on topic!) is said to be one of the most painful things someone can go through, if they do it drug free, but having your back operated on has to rank up there pretty high. That was the case with me, anyway. (post-op, and so on) Again, good luck.
If a 100% of those not wanting children could stick to abstinence yes then it would be 100% effective. Abstinence as a socially effective solution to preventing unwanted pregnancy and STD's is about as effective as telling people not to overeat to eliminate obesity, and we can see how thin most of the US population is.
Yes, you can freeze sperm, but then you have to do via invetro, very expensive... Anyway, another thought, even if he tries to run away from his responsibilities, she can get his wages garnished...Hate to go this route, but it is an option...
