Deep crop of receivers, who would you take and when?

This year's receiving class is looking to provide major depth compared to past draft classes.

We used our first rounder last year for the first time ever and this would doubtfully happen again, unless they fall in love with Watkins somehow, but who would you like to see out of these guys and when would you like us to use a pick one of these prospects.

I personally like Cooks, Adams, Saunders and Brown (the latter two can be had in later rounds IMO) but the better talent; excluding guys like Benjamin, Beckham (?), Lee, Evans and Watkins, will more than likely go in the high second round. Would you use our high 2nd if any of these guys fall and if so who?

Listed receivers with projected draft round:

    Sammy Watkins - 1
    Mike Evans - 1
    Marqise Lee - 1
    Kelvin Benjamin - 1
    Odell Beckham Jr. - 1/2
    Allen Robinson - 1/2
    Brandin Cooks - 1/2
    Jordan Matthews - 2
    Jarvis Landry - 2
    Davante Adams - 2
    Paul Richardson - 2/3
    Martavis Byrant - 2/3
    Robert Herron - 2/3
    Jared Abbrederis - 3
    Donte Moncrief - 3/4
    Josh Huff - 3/4
    Bruce Ellington - 3/4
    Jalen Saunders - 5
    John Brown - 5/6

Remember this isn't Kubiak selecting receivers so BOB may want to find a Welker type to play the slot in his offense late or early. He may see someone like Allen Robinson with height and speed that he just can't pass up at 2.1 to help add depth to our WR corps.

Regardless, this draft class is pretty damn deep and it will still have guys like Corey Brown out of Ohio State who could go undrafted and become available later than late.

I know it was a while ago, but AJ80 was a def a 1st rounder far before Nuk. That said, I hope they find some speed to add to this offense.

If Lee or Benjamin fell to the 2nd I wouldn't mind having one of them at all. Other than that I would hold off until a later round (the 4th and beyond) because this is a very deep receiver class. But that Robinson-O'Brien connection may be something to keep an eye on.

For a slot guy in the 5th-7th, I like Jeremy Gallon. I also like the 2 LSU guys, especially Beckham, but I don't think the Texans will be selecting WE that early.

I recognize that we have a lot of needs and that WR is not really one, at present. That said, you always want to play to a draft's strengths.

I like Bekham, Matthews, and cooks (in that order) in round 2.
I like Abbrederis and Moncrief in round 4
I like Tevin Reese from Baylor in round 6

I wouldnt touch one until at least the 4th round...and that's only if a good one gets pushed back to us that we cant pass up on. Otherwise, 5th or 6th rounder on a WR. Too many other holes and no need to spend an earlier pick on a deep position.

He's incredibly talented and makes up for his lack of speed and average height with incredible rout running, hands and athleticism. And he's tough. I see Anquan Boldin and Hakeem Nicks (before he started to suck). But I think we need a burner. Nuke is not a burner and Andre won't be one for long. We need someone that can stretch the field (Posey?)

Tevin Reese as a slot receiver would be nice and he can stretch the field also.

Could Tevin Reese also return punts and kicks?

I wouldn't mind getting a speed WR that can return.

reese would fit that "welker" slot role but i feel keshawn martin can also be with bob's offense. i think we should forward all of our picks into needs; which is everything except wr

TJ Jones would be a good slot WR pickup in the fourth round. Good speed, better hands, reliable WR.

Is Watkins worth the number one pick? If we trade the pick, could we pick him in the first round?

Third round and beyond; there's always a Terrance Williams in the draft
