Heard this on the radio today and I thought it was an interesting point. Nets trade Deron Williams Knicks trade Carmelo and Jeremy Lin(or someone else) It makes sense since Deron Williams is a premier PG and would be a better fit with the rest of current Knicks squad. By getting Anthony, Nets get the *star* they need for their grand opening in Brooklyn. I see how this could benefit both teams but of course it won't happen. Dolan's ego won't allow him admit acquiring Melo less than a year ago was a mistake. And we don't know if Williams is interested in signing an extension with NY. But its an interesting scenario. I think Carmelo's more suited for NJ or Brooklyn. He'll put people in the seats but his playing style, work ethic, personality will never be the best player on a championship team. Nets fans will be ok with that but NY fans will run him out of town. He's just not cut out for NYC.
dont see why the nets would do it? that team would stink...and melo would be unmotivated and play the worst ball of his career
