The Rams have to be the luckiest team in NFL history. Two weeks in a row, great quarterbacks hand them the game. Oh, and by the way, anyone notice that push in the back Aeneas Williams gave Freddie Mitchell on 4th down? Can't stop them any other way.
Cat do you even realize how dumb you sometimes sound?!?!?!!? Rams are lucky? Maybe the Rams defense has something to do with their wins?
Do you realize how dumb you always sound? I somehow doubt the Rams defense had anything to do with McNabb just dropping the ball on his own 20 in the first quarter. I also somehow doubt that Aeneas Williams shoving Freddie Mitchell in the back to get him out of the way is a legal play. The Rams defense is the most overrated I've ever seen in my life. GO PATS!

Except the rest of the game, right? You know, the multiple punts they forced? I guess those were all accidents too. They accidentally had the best offense in the NFL history over the last 3 years. They also lucked into a Top 5 defense this year. They lucked into the best kicker in the NFL, a top 3 O-Line in the NFL, the best QB and RB in the NFL, the best WR corps in the NFL, the best offensive schemes in recent NFL history. All accidents. Does any team/player you don't like ever earn anything?
Well, Rams vs Pats. At least with Mike Martz's ego, odds are the Broncos are finally going to get out of the record book for Super Bowl XXIV.

The Eagles wouldn't have punted nearly as much if they had the same aggressive mentality they did in the final drive. They accidentally had the best offense in the NFL history over the last 3 years. Does any team/player you don't like ever earn anything? Stats mean nothing. The Patriots I think were in the bottom half of the league in offense and defense. And I disagree with your claims on the best kicker, QB, RB,etc. Those are subjectives. All I know is Donovan McNabb gave them the game by fumbling on the opening position and giving it to them inside the 20. Since they won by less than that margin, I consider Donovan McNabb to have given them the game.
That might be the only good thing about the AFC getting blown out of the Super Bowl.... BTW - this is the 3rd time that the Pats have made the Super Bowl and every time that they have made it, the game has been played in New Orleans.
Of course, we all said basically the same thing before this week. Before the Pats even hit their stride, they played the Rams exceptionally close and lost 24-17. Mike Martz called the Pats the best team they played all season. The Pats are much improved now, and I wouldn't expect any blowouts.

So you ignore the mistakes StL makes (dropped 2-pt conversion, missed FG), but count the ones that Philly makes. Good logic. Here's a clue: Both teams make mistakes every game. It's part of the game. You still have to take advantage the opportunities given to you. St Louis did, Philly didn't. St Louis won every measure -- scoring, yards, time of possession, passing, rushing, turnovers, yds per play, punt avg, return avg, etc. But yeah, they were just lucky. The Eagles wouldn't have punted nearly as much if they had the same aggressive mentality they did in the final drive. But they didn't. It's part of the game. You still have to take advantage the opportunities given to you. St Louis did, Philly didn't. A 53 yard field goal miss really isn't a "mistake". Some mistakes happen, but blatant ones like what the Eagles did don't. Yeah, the Rams dropped a 2 point conversion, but that's pretty much canceled out by that underthrow by McNabb on the second possession. St Louis won every measure -- scoring, yards, time of possession, passing, rushing, turnovers, yds per play, punt avg, return avg, etc. But yeah, they were just lucky. Scoring is all that matters. If McNabb doesn't drop that ball, the Eagles have more points than the Rams. End of story. But they didn't. Of course, that had nothing to do with St Louis, right? Those sacks were all just accidents too. Most of the sacks happened because the Eagles got themselves in 2nd and 3rd and longs by playing conservative in the first few possessions. If they would've been aggressive on 1st and 2nd down, the Rams defense would've been kept offbalance.
No one earns anything if it was up to Cat. Lakers, Yankees and Rams are all lucky. Tim Duncan and the Rockets can do no wrong cause they are Gods.
When I saw Drew Bledsoe walk onto the field, I knew the Patriots were going to the Super Bowl. It was too perfect, Bledsoe, the forgotten gunslinger, comes on and leads the team to the Super Bowl, its like this game fell out of a Hollywood script. It's destiny. Also - The Patriots will beat the Rams next week. Could this be a more perfect story? Yes. Terry Glenn : Super Bowl MVP. Believe it.
Dude how can you leave the Steelers off the most hated listed? They are still right there with the Skins and 49ers, with the Iggles right after them. I am a Cowyboys fan too, so the Steelers getting punked at home when they had already arrogantly purchased those New Orleans flights was in a word, wonderful! Besides, Ward, Burress and the rest of the Steelers (many cheap shots on D) have taken over the Raven's mantle of being the biggest team of overated arrogant jackassess around. Great to seem them brutally exit. Car! Car! Car! Oh, no the Rams didn't luck out. The Iggles got them on a great day for them (for the Iggles) and still couldn't take advantage. If the Rams O wasn't so rusty in the red zone early on you can add 20 to the score. Basically if Warner and Pace are healthy throughout (Warner never was, Pace wasn't for most of the game) the Rams beat the Iggles 85% of the team, every thing fell just right for the Iggles and they still folded in the clutch. It was a great day all-around. I said people were underestimating the Pats before this week end, I believe they are again. The Pats have a very good disciplined defense and can throw the ball, that keeps you in a lot of games. Yes they should have lost of the Raiders on the field, but it was obvious to me they were the better team things just didn't go there way against the Raiders (until the ref call). If the Rams are not sharp like they were last weekend, the game will be competitive. If Pace is out or Warner isn;t 100%, it will be competitive. The year the Titans played the Rams tough in the superbowl the Titans statistically were way inferior I believe, but the Titans also had a balanced team offensively, fine defense and had been on a roll (they were a call--the Tennesse mircale or whatever--away from losing their 1st game as well and then upset the dominant team in the AFC at their place--JVill at the time). Very, very similar story to the Pats. I think the game will be close, I would defintely take the 14.5 points given the short turnaround and if Pace/Warner's health is an issue.
Yeah I hate the Steelers, but they are not on my most hated list. I did forget one team though. Those damn Purple Donkey Ball Eaters! THE VIKINGS SUCK!
