Alec Burks' entire career is defined by being a gifted scorer, poor defender and very injury prone. On an expiring contract, making less than Knight. That's a 100% salary dump.

They better not come out of this trade deadline without a tall/long defender.

Agree that AG is a grea
We agree on at least 2 things, Wall contract is an albatross. AG and his contract highly desirable.

I have no problem re-allocating the picks and players to reward ORL instead of WAS.

ORL gets: Wall, EGo, Chriss, Ennis, Hartenstein, 2 HOU FRP

WAS gets: Knight, WCS, Shump, Rights to Llull, HOU SRP, ORL SRP

SAC: Ariza, Nene, VE, HOU FRP, WAS SRP

HOU gets: AG, Ross, Iwundu, Birch

Where we truly disagree - You do not like all the assets given up (3 FRP, 1 SRP, players - EGo, Nene, Clark, Hartenstein, VE).

I assume you have no trouble discarding Knight, Chriss and Ennis.

IMO, this is similar trade many clamored for to acquire Jimmy Butler except only 3 FRP instead of 4 FRP (although I would give up 4 FRP if necessary).

Except Rockets get younger, longer, better defensively, more athletic, more playable depth and Rockets do not have to sign the key acquisition in off season.

Plus buyout options still in play.

    Ok, hear me out ...

Basketball is not just card trading. We actually need people to play together and gel. We have been picking up dudes from waivers and G-league this year and insert them into starting lineup instantly. It can’t be that simple, can it. We seem to have a all purpose system that anyone can just fit in.

Sheer madness so far in terms of personnel changes.

    Multiple trades?

Great stuff @Codman. Hope you're feeling a little better today.

Fingers crossed for the big one. beal, Tobias, Jaylen would be amazing. I'd take any legit starting forward though like green, Wayne, mirotic, etc...

going big means ego and lots of picks, but is tucker's name coming up at all?

Thanks for sharing what you hear.

Maybe. I was just replying to mockster's comments as to who might be a 1,2,3 target. Beal is out of the question.

Rotoworld mentioned that he had a lower back injury recently.

Returned from injury yesterday to play against Miami.

But Tyreke has not looked right this season with Indiana. Maybe a poor fit schematically but his impact has been nil even with Oladipo going down.

Maybe will do better when knocks off rust.

Locke is locked into the Rockets even after playing Jazz.

Is 4 FRP and EGo worth this line up?

    Paul/Rivers
    Harden/Iwundu
    Ross/Green/House
    AG/PJ/Clark
    Capela/Faried/Birch

With buyouts also on table like DJ, Wes Matthews, Ariza, etc.
